Barcode are the most famous terms used in all industry. Barcodes are labels used to attach on most of products available in market. Barcodes are machine readable codes scanned by a scanner and represents information in black and white bars present on it.

WHAT IS EAN BARCODE?

An EAN (short form of international article number) barcode font comes under Linear barcode technology. EAN barcode is having two types on the bases of their data handling capacity.

TYPES OF EAN BARCODE:

1.EAN-8:

EAN -8 barcode contain 8 numeric digits for the representation of product country information on which the product get manufactured information. First two digits are used to specify country, next five digits contain information about product, and the last digit is check digit.

2.EAN-13:

EAN -13 barcode contain 13 numeric digits for the representation of the data out of which 12 are data digits and 1 is check digit. First two digits are used to specify country, next five   digits contain information about product manufacturing, next five digits contain information about product and the last digit is check digit.  

HOW CAN WE CREATE EAN BARCODE?

1.Go to barcode generating software
2.Software contains two modes for creating barcode i.e. Barcode setting mode and barcode designing view, select any one of these.

3.Select Linear barcode technology and after this select EAN-13 or EAN-8 barcode font standard for scroll down list.

4.Modify the dimensions of these labels like Size, color etc.
5.Print generating barcode labels by clicking the print option present on menu bar.
6.You can print barcode labels in either software’s predefined font or by manually assigning the values to different fields available on print window.

7.Your barcode are ready for further use.
